 The Oyu
Tolgoi copper-gold deposit’s feasibility study was returned back to its
investor of Ivanhoe Mines Mongolia Inc.
Parliamentary
Standing committee on security and foreign policy set up a working group to
revise the technical and economical feasibility study of the Oyu Tolgoi
project.
The committee heard a briefing by Sh.Saikhansambuu MP, head of the
working group, and Keith Marshall, an Executive Director of the Oyu Tolgoi
project.
The
feasibility study was returned back to its investor, Ivanhoe Mines, on the
basis of four main points that need clarification. The clarification includes
the estimated reserve, the water survey, and the royalty payments. The next
hearing is scheduled May 2010.
