Erdenes Tavantolgoi” JSC was selected as a top company of 2021

For the 21st year in a row, the Government of Mongolia together with the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry have ranked and awarded the “TOP 100 Entrepreneurs” who make a major contribution to the socio-economic development of the country. 

The “TOP 100 enterprises” ranking information is gathered from the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Taxes, the General Administration of Customs, the General Administration of Social Insurance, the General Administration of State Registration, and the official data, reports, and figures of the National Statistical Office and based on 5 main indicators: the number of employees who paid taxes and social insurance, profit and assets. As a result “Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi” JSC is among the top three in terms of the above-mentioned criteria. 

In 2021, “Erdenes Tavantolgoi” JSC sales reached MNT 1.1 trillion, a net profit of MNT 110.2 billion and contributed MNT 420.6 billion in taxes and fees to the state budget. Moreover, the company approved the “A6-20” medium-term business plan for 2021 and is successfully implementing the development projects included in the plan. In addition, it has successfully organized 1st and 2nd stages of the “ETT” bond issue, attracting MNT 1 trillion and 22 billion of investments to finance projects. 

In 2021, the sales of the TOP-100 enterprises increased by MNT 2.8 trillion, reaching MNT 35.4 trillion compared to the previous year, 82 percent of GDP. Meanwhile, the number of employees increased by 8.3 thousand and reached 99 thousand, 8.8 percent of total employment.
